The "Chick" Factor
Do you think if the guard had not been a woman, the criminals wouldn't have tried it?
2 men in Texas killed a guard, a female by running her over with her truck as they escaped.

I doubt they would have tried it. I'll bet she was assigned to them because they were minimum security, though.
I hope they add a charge on for the horse, too, like they do for police dogs.
Research into upper body strength has shown that the top 10% of women are about equal to the lowest 10% of men. So, the odds against this guard were not two to one but more like three or four to one. But, there's no telling whether the same thing would have happened to a man. There are not enough facts to decide.
It was a stupid move putting violent offenders on minimum security, no matter how good their behavior was.

Yeah people doing life for murder and good behavior is an oxymoron.
