Betrayal!

The far left is in a tizzy! But, aren't they always? It seems that Nancy Pelosi was interviewed by CNN and sounded a lot like George Bush. What? She doesn't have the votes? Then she should GET the votes! Leadership is about forming alliances, making compromises and getting people to work toward a single goal. An E-4 in the military has that much leadership ability. It is quite obvious that Pelosi is not a leader. But then, Democrats were told that before they put her in that position and they chose to ignore it. Oh, but the Democratic Congress has started over 300 investigations of the Bush administration, renamed nine post offices and other federal buildings and have given the bottom two percent of workers a 70-cent pay increase. Now THAT'S leadership!! This is really funny. Every time the Democrats break their campaign promises, their constituents are shocked, SHOCKED that they have been betrayed -- again. Pelosi isn't changing the country, she's redecorating her kitchen. I said redecorating, not remodeling. This pot holder would look better hanging over there. Let's change out the refrigerator magnets. Hey, she's got hers. Go get your own. And just keep voting Democrat. Over and over and over and over... They know their constituants are losers. And they know that losers never change.

That was good TV. glad you posted that. She was so nervous and inarticulate I could not believe it. Did she stutter a couple of times?

She is now blaming the Republican Congress for stopping her from stopping the WAR??? I thought that was the whole point of putting her in there.

What is the purpose of being the majority other than to bully the minority into doing what you want?

I'm getting a little sick of these morons who refer to SURRENDER AND RETREAT as "redeployment". That's fundamentally dishonest.

San Fran Nan is typical of most Democrats. The new Democratic congress is all rhetoric and little action. I don't understand why my fellow Republicans were so worried about the possibility of a Democratic victory last election. I predicted they would do nothing and I was right.

Nan's appearance here reminds me of a quotation from Shakespeare's MacBeth:

"It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing".

To be fair, when the Republicans were in the majority, they didn't do such a good job either. When Newt was Speaker, on the first day of the Republican takeover, he STEAMROLLED the Democrats to pass reforms the FIRST DAY. The Democrats were LITERALLY in tears, invoking the name of Hitler and declaring the downfall of the Republic. But when Newt was forced out, the Republicans became a gang of gurly boys, who could be cowed into compromising on anything, even though they had a veto-proof majority. That's why they're no longer in the majority. And they still haven't learned their lesson. There are thousands of people in this county who could do their job better than they are (including my group of readers) but they truly believe that they in their ivory towers know better than the millions of people who voted for them.
