Sunday Morning Memory

I was the ultimate straight kid when I was in high school. I didn't have time for girls -- was still kinda afraid of them, actually. I loosened up after graduation, and it took a marriage to once again instill a healthy fear of women in me. But I digress. I didn't use profanity or tell dirty jokes, didn't cruise around with the guys. And while the other kids were listening to the Beatles, I was buying albums like this.

I love Glenn Miller. Wonderfully dreamy and this particular song has such a longing and melancholy feel to it.

Lovely choice.

Can't say that I bought albums like that, but I listened to my parents' collection A LOT. :)

My parents collection was on 78 rpm. I didn't have a record player that went that fast. When I was at Grandmas, I'd use her wind-up Victrola. Totally non-electric.

Sadly, you missed a lot, Ranger.
