Whine Fest
So, I got home from work Tuesday, got about two hours of sleep and decided to check out the Harris Teeters that opened about two miles down the road last week. As I put my top down, it stopped about halfway down and I had to give it a shove to restart it. Rats! Convertible top motor failing.
What a great store! I bought a bunch of stuff I didn't even need just because I was exited that I don't have to drive 10 miles to shop at my favorite grocery store anymore. This new store is open 24 hours, so I'll have to find an excuse to go at 3 am.
Got back to my car in the underground garage and it wouldn't start. Called AAA. They were there 10 minutes later. He plugged some kind of computer into my car and saw that the battery looked bad. No wonder, because one of the posts was so corroded, it broke off. It was behind the battery, so I couldn't see it. I was told GM batteries do that all the time. It must have been in my car since it was new, because I hadn't replaced it before. Batteries are one of those items that you don't replace until they fail. Luckily, I wasn't out in the middle of nowhere.
As this was being done, some moron threw a cigarette off a balcony and it landed in my back seat and burned a large hole in the carpeting. It's pure luck I found it at all because I was looking around for the cell phone I'd misplaced (in my shirt pocket). I didn't see where it came from, so I couldn't shoot the guy. Too bad. I never shot nobody whut didn't deserve it.
The upside is, I don't need a new convertible motor.

What a bummer about your car's carpeting. However, I'm happy for you that you don't need a new convertible motor. :)
