Who Says Congress is Doing Nothing?

Having declared Iraq a lost war, the Democrats are now setting out to finally nail the Japs. Tojo would be shaking in his boots -- if he weren't dead for 59 YEARS!

WASHINGTON (AP) - The House passed a resolution Monday urging Japan to apologize for coercing thousands of women to work as sex slaves for its World War II military.

Though largely symbolic, the nonbinding resolution has caused unease in Japan and added tension to an otherwise strong alliance. Officials in Tokyo say their country's leaders, including Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, have apologized repeatedly for the Imperial Japanese Army's forcing of women to work in military brothels in the 1930s and 1940s.

The resolution's supporters, however, say Japan has never assumed responsibility fully for the treatment of the women.

Rep. Tom Lantos, D-Calif., labeled as "nauseating" what he said were efforts by some in Japan "to distort and deny history and play a game of blame the victim."

"Inhumane deeds should be fully acknowledged," said Lantos, chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee. "The world awaits a full reckoning of history from the Japanese government."

Really? When are the Democrats going to fully acknowledge their inhumane deeds in the slave trade and the abortion industry?

By the way, the Japanese have apologized several times. This is just another windmill the Democrats can tilt at to divert attention from their total abandonment of their campaign promises.

Just when you think the democrats under Pelosi can't possibly sink any lower POW! They set the bar lower in the muck.

Seems to me the Dems are purposely trying to undermine the good relations we have developed with Japan over the years since WWII. Could it be that by creating a strained relationship with Japan, they can then blame the Bush administration for making yet another ally hate America?

I think they're just like kids, making trouble when they have nothing better to do. They have something better to do but they don't know how to do it.
