Pink Coffee

So, I picked up some sugar-free rasberry Torani syrup for my coffee last night, mainly because they didn't have any vanilla, which is my favorite. I knew as soon as I saw the pink coffee this morning that I'd made a mistake. I took two sips and dumped it. I'm having a second cup with a drop of liquid Splenda. My birthday dinner didn't turn out exactly as planned. I don't eat out much because nothing I order at a restaurant is as good as what I can prepare at home. I made lasagna yesterday and planned to just eat at home, but minutes before dinner time, I figured if I don't go out, it will be a day just like any other. So, I went to one of my favorite steak houses and ordered a prime rib. No prime rib. So, I settled for a rib eye. Then, I wanted some apple pie for desert. No apple pie. So, I stopped by Harris Teeters on my way home and picked up a slice of double fudge chocolate cake. I ate it while watching Zorro. I'll be fine as soon as the Zantac kicks in. I just got a call from work. Seems my concealed carry permit is ready to pick up. They must have gotten the phone number wrong because the one they called was disconnected. Now, everyone at work will know I carry a gun and will be waiting for me to mow them all down. The concept of individual responsibility is totally foreign to liberals. Secondly, I have to drive to the court house, which is in the most congested part of town. Here I've been checking my mail every day to see if it arrived and instead I have to pick it up. They sure don't make it easy. But then, I'll be able to carry my gun under my shirt instead of over it -- unless I'm eating at a place that serves alcohol. The Democrats in the state legislature are clinging to a law that says whenever in a place that serves alcohol, a gun owner must carry openly. There is no restriction on drinking. Republicans want a law that says a gun owner can carry concealed if he doesn't drink. Makes sense to me. Why do Democrats want guns carried openly in restaurants and bars? Because they WANT people to feel uncomfortable. Why do they say a gun owner can drink as much as he wants? Because they are HOPING some yahoo will get drunk and shoot up the place. Then they will have justification for more gun bans. The problem is, gun owners are responsible people. They don't do things like that. Once again, liberals are totally clueless about individual responsibility. Time to hit the shower. Then, I have to pat myself down to make sure I'm keyless, buckeless, coinless, and phoneless so I can get into the court building. Adios

Welcome to the club. To bad we have to raise our hands to fulfill our God given right to self-preservation.

Wore concealed for the first time to the grocery store this morning. People weren't nearly as polite.
