Sunday Quiz
I keep forgetting to post a Sunday quiz. So, here's one.
Where does this poem come from?
Happy Anniversary to my Love,
My wife, my life, my turtledove.
Life with you is great, it seems,
I love you more than pork and beans.
My parents both born in 1932 had that record and played it all the time when I was a kid. I am 34 now. They are 76. My parents' relationship was exactly like the Bickersons' record so I guess that is why they used to play it. Funny stuff I have never heard since.

W C Fields?
Wait. Ogden Nash?
Shel Silverstein?
I can't find it in Google.
Wrong, wrong, wrong and I can't find it in Google either. Hint: Old time radio.
Burns and Allen?
Life of Riley?
The Great Gildersleeves!
The fighting Bickersons.
And Tonto gets it! The Bickersons, with Francis Langford and Don Ameche/Lew Parker. You can listen to some clips here.
SHUT UP! I just guessed that out of thin air.

I thought that is where I heard it before.
My parents would be so proud. Thanks.
Well, that splains why someone of your youth even knows who the Bickersons are.
