Shirker
I'd like to say I haven't blogged for a few days because I'm preparing for my trip. But I was actually just too lazy to get on-line.
The first thing I do today after I get home is to pack up the cats and take them to their hotel. That will leave the day free to pack. Since I'll be spending only one day there, I won't have to pack much. One problem is, I haven't gotten my new credit card yet. If it doesn't come in by Saturday, I'm going to have to use cash. I didn't get a credit card until I was 42, but now I can barely function without one.
It's going to be a long, long drive without my XM radio. I'd thought about getting an ipod and ripping about 50 Lone Ranger episodes to it but -- no credit card. And I don't want to become one of those freakish people who always has either a cell phone or wires in his ears.
I hope cash is still accepted in this country.

Have a good trip.
Well, you won't have time today, but get an iPod... you'll never go back to XM.... we have XM and never use it... we keep it because we want to see want happens in a year when Sirius and XM combine their programming.
You can download so much to a video iPod... I have over 2200 songs-- from my personal cd collection--- I have purchased 2 songs on line, a dozen tv shows, and podcasts from Bill Bennett, Hugh Hewitt, and Dennis Prager on there... and I haven't used half the space available.
You can get adapters for your car so no wires in the ear...
Have a safe trip!!
I have XM for the old time radio shows and the conservative talk. Not much of a music listener.
As I was downloading updated software into my Garmin navigator, I remembered that it is also an MP3 player, so I downloaded 52 episodes of the Lone Ranger from a CD. That should keep me occupied.
In the next life I want to come back as one of your cats...
Did you splurge and get them a hydrotherapy session?
I'm with Tonto--how do you get chosen as a Lone Ranger cat?
Have a good trip, and try not to look suspicious. While most places will still accept cash, Homeland Security might start a file on you. ;)
