Unintended Consequences

The people at the Roanoke Times must be in a funk. Because of that stupid stunt they pulled of posting the name and address of every concealed carry permit holder in the state, the Virginia State Police have suspended access to its database. In response to a request from Delegate Dave Nutter (R-7), Attorney General McDonnell issued an opinion that the concealed carry database was assembled solely for investigative purposes and, therefore, it is exempted from the Commonwealth’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) that requires public access to certain documents. I love it when liberals -- you should excuse the expression -- shoot themselves in the foot.
