Elitist Liberals Fear Common Man

Elizabeth Edwards is upset. Seems she has a (gasp!) REPUBLICAN neighbor. He's not only a Republican, he's a RABID Republican! I don't know how she'd know that since she's AFRAID to even meet him. Why does she fear him? Well, some strange men once entered his property and he pulled out a GUN! One wonders what would happen if any strange men ever entered the Edwards estate. They'd be swarmed by men who wield guns FOR the Edwards family. Another thing she doesn't like about him. He doesn't keep his property as clean as they do their well-manicured estate. Well, they can afford people to do their yard work. This guy can't.

Johnson said he has lived his entire life on the property, which he said his family purchased before the Great Depression. He said he's spent a lot of money to try and fix up the 42-acre tract.

"I have to budget. I have to live within my means," Johnson said. "I don't have millions of dollars to fix the place."

Johnson, who has posted a "Go Rudy Giuliani 2008" sign on a fence just 100 feet from the entrance to the Edwards' driveway, has criticized Edwards for the scale of their nearby home. The property and home, which includes an indoor basketball court, an indoor handball court and an indoor pool, is valued at $5.3 million.

The Edwardses are still putting the final touches on the property, which they purchased in 2003.

"I thought he was supposed to be for the poor people," Johnson said. "But does he ever socialize with any poor people? He doesn't speak to me."

Johnson said he has put his property on the market, in part blaming the high property taxes for his decision to leave. He also wants to move for another reason.

"I don't want to live somewhere where someone's always complaining about me," he said.

If this gets out into the mainstream media, Edwards' capaign is dead. Likely, the major news networks will ignore it.

What's with the flags on your sidebar? Everytime I visit there are more of them flashing.

That's a counter that logs the countries that have visited. Click on one and you get a map showing where it is. I have no idea why they're flashing or how to stop them. It says nada on the neoworx site.

I kind of hope Mr. Johnson wouldn't give the Edwardses the satisfaction that he moved away. I understand the property tax thing, but it'd be fun to watch if he stayed. :)

Yea. . Edwards is supposed to be for the poor guy. Classic Democrate schtick. He wouldn't go near a "common guy" if there wasn't a camera to catch it. Just like that dog and pony show in New Orleans when he made his official announcement. Fitting that he was wielding a shovel. . because it was getting pretty deep.

Now, hold on a minute...

You guys know that you can't say anything negative about John Edwards... His wife has cancer!

What kind of monsters are you people?

Have you no sympathy?

You cannot know what he is going through, and if he wants to build a mansion that would make the Beverly Hillbillies jealous for his wife to die in while he is out campaigning for the White House, then that is his business.

I mean, he has to figure out SOMETHING to do with all that money... She can't take it with her, you know...

I didn't say anything about Edwards, I said it about his wife. His kids are probably snooty too. Does he have kids?

Typical elitist liberal snobs.

Yes he has kids. He had 4 but a teenage boy died in a car crash in the 80s, then a daughter and after the teenage son died they had two more kids back to back another boy and girl now in their tweens.

He milked the whole thing about losing a child in the last election. Where were you? Probably watching the whole election on mute which is what I should have done.

I hope some Republican rich guys out there pay the guy's taxes to have him just live there long enough through the election to tick them off.

Democrats don't like to talk about the class society we live in so this is real egg on their face.

Well, he sorta does.

He and his wife are in possession of a couple of kids.

As to who is actually raising them while his wife dies of cancer and he runs for President non stop, well, that's anyones guess.

My guess is that he has hired a couple or three illegal alien nannies to look after them, because those people will do the jobs that Americans like John Edwards won't do.

If Ms. Edwards dies of cancer, it won't be because she didn't get the very best care available. Doctors will be afraid not to do everything they can, including administering illegal drugs to save her, given that Johnny is one of the most successful malpractive attornies in the world.

I'll bet he has trouble finding doctors to treat her.

From what I understand, although her cancer isn't curable, it is treatable. and not life-threatening.
