This Day in Republican History 1/25/07

January 25, 2001 U.S. Senate Republican Policy Committee declares school choice to be “Educational Emancipation” From the abolition of slavery, to the emancipation of women, to the promotion of equal rights for all, the Democrats have opposed every civil rights policy the Republicans have ever proposed from the 1860s through the 1960s. They have not budged an inch on civil rights in 150 years.

Democrats are now fighting every attempt to give school choice to our country's minorities and disadvantaged. There will never be a narrowing of the gap between the privileged and the underprivileged in this country until we achieve equality in education. And that is why Democrat elitists are fighting school vouchers. Without a dependent class, there would be no Democrat plantation.

Even in the 21st century, the Democrats are the party of slavery.

There is a reason the Democratic party is known as the "party of opposition."
