President Bush sounded depressed last night. I had to listen to the speech on NPR while driving home. The commentator kept pointing out the former Republican speaker sitting in the back looking forlorn as the President made eye contact with him, as if to say, "How did we get back here?" I guess the party's over until 2008...pun intended. Next thing...since Hillary jumped in where's her husband? Is he going to stay "gone" until this is over camped out with his girlfriend in a condo somewhere...not that I am complaining about that?

You need to get XM radio so you can listen to Fox News in the car. They aren't nearly so depressing.
That's right. Your first mistake was listening to NPR. What I would like in news is to have no commentary, just say, the "State of the Union" then nothing. I didn't think it was a bad speech, it was what it could be with the current Congress. I still disagree with the President on immigration and spending but I thank God every day he is our President instead of the alternative. I do have a bad feeling about '08. I think the American People are getting softened by the 'De-Press' and I just hope we have the will to not forget those who have involuntarily and voluntarily lost their lives in this epic battle.
