FYI

Thanks to Cathy, who magically found a Google cache of my old blog, I managed to restore all my links in about an hour. And I have to admit, the new editing tools are pretty cool! When I get off work this morning, I go on vacation and start my move. I have a pre-inspection today. Don't know what that is. The notice said it's so they know what kind of contractors to call in after I move. I'm thinking a plumber, a painter, a carpet cleaner and a backhoe operator. I'm going to spend today and Wednesday basically throwing out stuff I haven't even looked at in years. Thursday, I pick up my keys and write my first blood-sucking check. And I'll start moving things I can carry. Starting Friday, I'll be allowed to move things I can't carry. That's where my newly purchased dolly comes in -- and those furniture sliders that you put under the legs of heavy things. The first thing to go into the new apartment will be the cats. Can't wait to see their reaction. Hopefully, I'll be done by Sunday in time to at least run a vacuum over my old place and wipe down the kitchen counters. Every time I moved in the military, I had to leave the place white-glove clean. So this will be a welcome change. If I use my time properly, I won't be doing much blogging for the next few days. I'll go completely dark on Wednesday. Don't know how long I'll be down. The cable guy comes in on Wednesday, so if I remember how to hook up my computer, it shouldn't be long. Yes, I'm excited. Holy cow! Has anyone tried the spell checker yet on this new blogger? It instantly highlights every word that might be misspelled. Click on the word and a list of corrections pops up. But I don't see any place to add new words. Like pffft and sheesh. That will be a handicap. Sheesh.

I'm glad I could help.

Now for you rebels that haven't switched, do yourself a favor and save your template on Notepad before your hit that button that says "SWITCH NOW". That way in the event Blogger decides to be disagreeable, you will still have your template and all your linkage.

Kimosabe- Good luck on the move. Let us know how your kitties do... I always like the low slinky stealthy walk... too cute...

OH.... LIFT WITH YOUR LEGS, NOT YOUR BACK!

That is all.

Lone, do you remember the classic Disney film that featured the Two Siamese Kats singing a duet, and I paraphrase--

"We are Sia-mese, if you Ple-ase.
We are Sia-mese, if you don't please.
We are looking over our new Domicile.
If we like it, we may just stay awhile!"

GO BEARS!!

Lone Ranger, I see you did the same thing I did. Your first two links are the same thing. I warned you. You might want to check over your blogroll. When I click on Dakotaranger I get Ross. I don't know if there are other errors. I just want to give you a heads up.

Those Siamese cats were in Lady and the Tramp. Obnoxious they were!

LR, if you have to, make a map of how your computer is hooked up. Label the cables with tape or something. You don't want to see your following in the throes of withdrawal. ;)

Yup, they're already labeled. I use white address labels to tag the cables.

The wires that go to the back of my computer are color coded already. Plus, none of them can go into the wrong port because of their shape and size.
