They Apparently Got Him

I was just about to start a post wondering why Britain was having so much trouble catching their serial killer when they have so many surveillance cameras on the streets. And then this story came across the wires.

LONDON, Dec 18 (Reuters) - British police arrested a 37-year-old man on Monday on suspicion of murdering five prostitutes, according to officers investigating one of the country's most dramatic serial killings of recent times. The bodies of five naked women, who all worked as prostitutes in the town of Ipswich, eastern England, were all found over a period of 11 days this month, dominating television and newspaper headlines. Police Chief Superintendent Stewart Gull said the man had been arrested at his home near Felixstowe, a port town to the south east of Ipswich, at about 7:20 a.m. "He has been arrested on suspicion of murdering all five women -- Gemma Adams, Tania Nicol, Anneli Alderton, Paula Clennell and Annette Nicholls," Gull said. "The man is currently in custody at a police station in Suffolk, where he will be questioned about the deaths later today."
