Today is the big day. After countless hours of observation and research, when I get off work this morning I'm going to hit the kitchen and create my version of Spongebob's Krabby Patties. This is a recipe that is guarded more closely than our nuclear secrets under the Clinton administration, but I think I have it figured out. I've been told by several people that my New England crab cakes are the best they've ever tasted. So, that will form the base of my recipe. I have carefully studied how ingredients such as tomato, lettuce, cheese, etc are stacked on the bun. And I have worked out a formula for the special sauce.
Assuming I don't have another tragic accident with my mandoline, I should have the results before noon.

So how did they turn out?
I haven't gotten off work yet. 44 more minutes.
18 minutes.
8 minutes. Time to start shutting down, cleaning up and tying up loose ends.
so................???
Also... haven't seen an update on your kitties... please report.
Things did not go as planned.
On the way home, I remembered that one of the ingredients is flour, and since I almost never use flour, I thought I'd better stop and pick up a small bag. By the time I got home, the water had been shut off and THEN I remembered a notice the day before that there would be maintenence all day. So I took a nap. Six hours later, I woke up and the water was on. Did a batch of dishes and started cooking. I just took my first bite of Krabby Patty and have to say it's pretty good. I'll post the recipe.
