First Nancy Pelosi pledged that hers would be the most ethical, honest House in the history of the country. Then she proceeded to nominate three of the most contemptible representatives in the House to top leadership posts. Were she a Republican, the screams of "LIAR, LIAR, ARMANI PANTS ON FIRE!" would be echoing through the capitol dome. First, she backed John Murtha, an unindicted co-conspirator in the Abscam scandal as the house whip. Strike 1.
Washington, DC - Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) questioned soon-to-be House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's (D-CA) commitment to eradicating corruption with her endorsement of one of the most unethical members in Congress, Rep. John Murtha (D-PA), to be Majority Leader of the House of Representatives. Rep. Murtha was listed in CREW's report Beyond DeLay: The 20 Most Corrupt Members of Congress (and five to watch). As reported in the study and by the news media, Rep, Murtha has been involved in a number of pay-to play schemes involving former staffers and his brother, Robert "Kit" Murtha.Next, she backed Alcee Hastings, an impeached judge accused of accepting bribes, for head of the intelligence committee. Strike 2.
Her next move will be to support Charles Rangel as head of the House Ways and Means Committee. Since this is one of the most tax-loving Democrats in Congress, Pelosi might just hit a home run with this one.WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democratic Rep. Alcee Hastings of Florida, impeached as a federal judge in 1989 on corruption charges, dropped his bid under pressure on Tuesday to chair a congressional panel designed to help protect America's security, a party aide said.
Hastings took the action after being told by Rep. Nancy Pelosi, in line to head the U.S. House of Representatives when the new Congress convenes in January, that she would not give him the coveted job, the aide said.
Washington, DC- Congress Daily reported today that the Democratic PartyĆs ranking member on the House Ways and Means Committee, Rep. Rangel (D) of New York, all but guaranteed tax increases in the Democratic agenda if they take back the house in November. When approached about whether tax increases across the income spectrum would be considered, Rep. Rangel responded, "No question about it."Taxpayers, YOU'RE OUT! But the upside is, if Charlie Rangel ever calls in sick, Al Sharpton could sub for him.

You literally made laugh and want to cry all at the same time with this one.
Biy these next two years are going to be more fun then I thought.
Have democrats have always been so obvious???...and if so, is it because they know their constituents are not paying attention??
I meant "Boy" not Biy"
I love your sarcasm and your sense of humor. And you're on target to boot! What a great list of personal qualities!
I was a disk jockey back before the era of the shock jock. No matter what time of the day or night and no matter what my mood, I had to be funny, cheerul and positive. I guess it's stuck with me.
Yes, tonto, the democrats have always been so obvious. Since you hopped over from that other blog, your skills have been greatly improving, Grasshopper.
Take comfort that although the democrats might reverse all the progress made in the last six years, this country is too powerful for even them to destroy.
I believe the democrats are going to prove themselves so incompetent and so unable to do anything right that they, more than anything the Republicans might do, will insure a Republican landslide victory in 2008.
It is a classic case of "give them enough rope and they will hang themselves".
From your lips MARK to God's ears.
