From Hot Air comes this story that once again exposes how the left feels about the military. I wonder if Rangel will get as much publicity as Kerry did.
I want to make it abundantly clear: if there’s anyone who believes that these youngsters want to fight, as the Pentagon and some generals have said, you can just forget about it. No young, bright individual wants to fight just because of a bonus and just because of educational benefits. And most all of them come from communities of very, very high unemployment. If a young fella has an option of having a decent career or joining the army to fight in Iraq, you can bet your life that he would not be in Iraq. That may have been why Rangel enlisted:
"There wasn't much economic opportunity for a high-school dropout at the time, so I thought I might get a better handle on where I was going and enlisted for one year" Rangel says. After three months he extended the one-year commitment to three. Soon he found himself on a boat bound for Asia. But it isn't why I enlisted. I could have had a scholarship at my choice of schools, but I chose to enlist during the Vietnam War because I wanted to carry on a tradition of military service in my family that stretched back to WWI. These people are clueless.
(11-26) 04:00 PST San Diego -- If Dr. Martin Holland had his way, he'd be in Iraq right now. In Fallujah or Ramadi or Baghdad. Up to his elbows in blood and brain matter, operating on Marines and soldiers with severe head injuries... Holland is not an 18-year-old who joins the Marines fresh out of high school. He's 44, and he quit a prestigious job as director of neurotrauma at UC San Francisco. But there are similarities: Both put aside personal lives to enlist in the military.Liberals have absolutely no understanding of what it feels like to wear the uniform and be a part of history, rather than watching the parade pass by.

You are so right! Good good points. Liberals don't have a clue about patriotism, God, family, and honor. They really are clueless.
