School Time

Substitue teacher Michelle Malkin will give us all a language lesson today that teachers, professors and politicians are too stupic, cowardly, ignorant or biased to give.

Jihadis. These are our enemies--from Mohammed Atta and company to the Butchers of Beslan, to the throat-slitters in Karachi and Baghdad and Mindanao, to the bombers of Bali, Madrid, and London, to their funders and imams and enablers worldwide. They are not "freedom fighters" or "militants" or "rebels" or "evildoers" of unknown geographic and religious affiliation. Apologists claim "jihad" means a peaceful Muslim striving for spiritual perfection. But the late Ayatollah Khomeini rebuked Religion of Peace propagandists back in 1942: "Those who know nothing of Islam pretend that Islam counsels against war. Those (who say this) are witless."

Ties in rather nicely with number 10 of Newt's 11 American Values above.

From the liberal perspective, no doubt, jihadis do not even attain the sense of right and wrong expected of American, non-muslim children by age 18. It is fair under our legal system to hold them accountable only as "minors". Thus, they become jihadi delinquents - nothing to worry about.

I don't think our leaders have any idea what we're dealing with. I lived in Turkey, which is a fairly secular country, for a year. That was not another culture, it was another planet. Even militant atheists would be surprised at how much the Judeo-Christian culture has affected their lives. They would be like a fish out of water in a fundamentalist Muslim country.
