WOO HOO!

Don't expect me to be doing any GEICO commercials with Charo. I finally got my beloved car back today after more than SIX WEEKS! I got fed up today and decided to get off the phone and put in some face time with these people. Face time works. In 24 years in the military, I never had to yell, use profanity or threaten anyone. But I could intimidate young Marines with just a glance. I was gratified to learn I still possess that talent. I went from the body shop to GEICO and stood there while they cleared up "glitches" in their notes and computers. In under two hours, I was behind the wheel of my car. Now all I have to do is stop turning on the windshield wipers when I mean to turn on the headlights. Good news: so far I'm about $800 ahead in insurance money. I'll have to see how much of that is eaten up by the car rental next time I get my credit card bill. But if I profit by so much as a dime, it will be revenge on the guy who vandalized my car. He got away with junk, since I deactivated the XM radio and reported the GPS stolen.

Bad news: Charo is 55 -- too old for me.
