This Day in Republican History

August 20, 1996 Bill authored by U.S. Rep. Susan Molinari (R-NY) to prohibit racial discrimination in adoptions, part of Republicans’ Contract With America, becomes law Under the liberals' politically correct adoption policies, white families were usually not allowed to adopt black children. The twisted logic was that black children would not be taught the "black experience" if they were adopted by whites. Whose black experience -- Rodney King's black experience or Colin Powell's black experience? So thousands of these kids would rot away in the failed foster care system -- failed, because it too was a liberal creation.
