A Waste of Daylight

President Bush addressed the NAACP today and once again, he was the perfect gentleman. He didn't ask why an organization that was founded by Republicans was so hostile to the Republican Party. Michelle Malkin says pretty much everything I wanted to say, so I won't say it. The REVerand Al Sharpton was on Bill O'Reilly tonight. The only thing he liked about the President's speech is that Bush "admitted" that racism still exists. When O'Reilly asked if racism exists on both sides, Sharpton used the old canard (a : a false or unfounded report or story; especially : a fabricated report b : a groundless rumor or belief) that blacks don't have the "power" to be racists. How much power does it take to fling an Oreo cookie at a black Republican? It doesn't take the arm of Roger Clemens.

Nooo, Democrats aren't racists.

That's a famous cartoon. It was drawn by New York Times racist cartoonist Jeff Danziger. Just Google Condoleeza cartoon and you'll come up with all sorts of appalling images. For instance, Pat Oliphant drew Rice in two cartoons as a big-lipped, bucktoothed quaking parrot, slurring her as a hollow-headed stooge. Jeff Danziger depicted Rice as a stereotyped “mammy,” barefoot and ignorant. Gary Trudeau’s demeaning cartoon showed President Bush tagging Rice with the label of “Brown Sugar.“ Ted Rall penned a cartoon depicting Rice boasting about her role as “Bush’s Beard.” Another Rall character demanded that Rice “hand over your hair straightener.” Rall added that Rice is being sent to an “inner-city racial education camp.” Even before Rice’s nomination was announced, Ted Rall referred to Rice as the president’s “House [N-word].” John Sylvester, a white liberal Democrat in Madison, Wisconsin, characterized Rice on his radio talk show as a servile black, calling her an “Aunt Jemima.” Nooo, Democrats aren't racist.

Thank you for reporting the truth. And sometimes the truth hurts. If only the mainstream propaganda news could report like that...
