Republican Party platform condemns “duplicity and insincerity” of Democrats in racial matters The platform said in part, "We condemn bigots who inject class, racial, and religious prejudice into public and political matters. Bigotry is un-American and a danger to the Republic. We deplore the duplicity and insincerity of the party in power in racial and religious matters." Some of the other charges made against the Democrats were:Whether it be the 19th, the 20th or the 21st century, Democrats never change. We charge that they have arrogantly deprived our citizens of precious liberties by seizing powers never granted.
We charge that they work unceasingly to achieve their goal of national socialism.
We charge that they have disrupted internal tranquillity by fostering class strife for venal political purposes.
We charge that they have choked opportunity and hampered progress by unnecessary and crushing taxation.
I think Republicans would do well to read their own 1952 platform. The Republican Party now typifies much of what the Democrats stood for back then.
