I guess the Democratic party is getting wierd for him too. I wonder if this strategy will work for Lieberman. I have to admit before Ross Perot dropped out the first time, I was going to vote for him. Do you think the Democrats really have no idea what they are doing right now??

It may not work for him, but it will work for whomever gets the Republican nomination. The Democratic Party has been anti-Semetic since the days of FDR. And the further left they go, the worse it gets. When you come down on the side of the Palestinians rather than Israel, you're no better than a neo-nazi.
But he's still staying in the Democratic party. He's not throwing in the towel like Zel Miller did. I imagine if Lieberman runs as an independent Democrat, he'll feel the full force of liberal hatred. Hope he has a stronger heart than Kennith Lay did.
You know that was the first thing I thought of too...I wouldn't want to be a Jewish guy running as a democrat right now.
Makes me wonder how Spielberg reconciles himself with the dem's right now knowing how Pro-Israel he is?
Of course how is Mit Romney going to do as a Mormon with Republicans in 2008?
When it all comes out in the wash, it doesn't seem to matter what a president't religious affiliation is. Nixon and Hoover were Quakers. The country was in an uproar because Kennedy was a Catholic. Eisenhower was at times a River Brethren, a Jehovah's Witness and a Presbyterian. Clinton claimed to be a Baptist but.....
So far as I've seen, Lieberman is the only statesman the Democrats have left and they're pushing him out. The best thing moderate Democrats could do is form their own party and leave the wacko leftists in their dust, just as the Republicans did when the Whigs went wobbly on slavery. They would get rid of their reputation as a bunch of nut jobs and shed a whole lot of baggage in the process.
