It's easy to see who has the right stuff.
Katie Couric, who takes over the CBS Evening News in September told Access Hollywood that at this point, she would not venture into the Middle East hot spot."I think the situation there is so dangerous, and as a single parent with two children, that's something I won't be doing," Katie said.
There isn't a panty liner absorbent enough to handle the reaction if Katie Couric got even within hearing distance of an explosion. But if perky Katie has been saving and investing properly, she has enough money for her next 50 generations to live in luxury. You'd think she'd provide a little solidarity for the single parent soldiers who had no choice but to go to war. How is this showing support for the troops?
Guess we won't be seeing perky Katie in any USO shows anytime soon.

Well, money isn't everything.
Her children need their Mother,(and their FATHER, but THAT is another post...) and she is ultimately a professional Teleprompter reader...
She can read it just as well in New York as she can in Tel Aviv.
She made the right decision.
As to supporting the Troops, she would do more good by sending them all a 20 year old picture of herself nude than she would if she moved to Falusia, and lived there for the rest of her life.
I don't like her, but she has no business over there.
Yeah, I was just messing with her. That sort of thing is the job of reporters, not anchors. I've been both, and rank does have its privilages. Sending an anchor to stand in front of a pile of rubble is like having Colonel Sanders working at the drive-through window. It is reporters who get the story, they should be able to earn their bones and present it.
Still, does that mean that if she gets married, she'll be available?
If I had an employee that I thought was valuable enuff to my company that I would pay them a bazillion dollars, I wouldn't send them into a war zone or let them ride motorcycles, either.
