As a journalist, I hate the abuse of the English language. The misuse of one word that is particularly annoying is "gay" as a euphemism for homosexual.
euphemism: the substitution of an agreeable or inoffensive expression for one that may suggest something unpleasant
But that's not what I wanted to write about. Which parent is unnecessary to a family -- the mother or the father? I'd like to put a panel of lesbians and "gay" men together to debate that question. The men could tell us why women have nothing to contribute to the rearing of a normal child and the women could tell us why men are irrelevant to the process. Might be an interesting debate.
Don't expect to see it on Oprah.
If anyone is alive at the end of the debate, they could also tell us why their grandchildren won't need a grandma -- or a grandpa.
Oh, the men are the ones with the Adam's apple -- most of the time.

man that was funny...but they always say two gays ones are better than one single one so they win...
I'm not fond of singles adopting either. The whole adoption system was better when private organizations ran orphanages instead of this horrid government foster system.
And then there are the politically correct, racist policies, where the government would rather let black children rot in the foster system than adopt them out to white couples. I'll have to grouse about that someday too.
I don't understand your relentless, tireless bashing of gays, Ranger. After all, aren't the courageious queers at the forefront of the movement to erase two thousand years of Judaic-Christian morals? Give them a break. They are the pioneers of the vangard of the troops that will bring our little civilization to its ultimate downfall.
It isn't bashing if it's true. For instance, it is easy to bash Bush, which is why the liberals are having so much fun. But it's darn near impossible to bash Clinton 'cause I can't think of anything he would't lower himself to.
