Small Random Acts of Kindness can make a difference

To perhaps cheer up LR for his loss and violation of his personal belongings, I have a nice story to tell...that all is not bad in the world. I really feel for you LR [see his post down below "AAAARGHHH"] when that happened to me more than once and I lived in West Hollywood, CA where we were practically the capital of car break-ins in Los Angeles I always felt violated that someone had been in my car and it was such an odd feeling. Now that something bad has happened I am here to tell you some small act of kindness is on its way to let you know all is not totally wrong with your universe. I feel like I am suppose to share this story because we always tell the bad stuff and never honor the good stuff too!! Last Sunday I was terribly depressed feeling a little lonely and overwhelmed a lot of change going on in my life and coming out of a bad work situation where I felt betrayed by a friend...starting a new job and having a new baby...well I was going through a drive thru by myself and I placed my order and I was waiting behind three men in their 40s in a convertible and I was listening to them order. I pulled up to pay after they left and hand the employee my $5 bucks and the employee tells me your order was paid for by those men that just left!! I thought he was joking and he said "no...they really did. They said they thought you looked like you needed a pick me up"...boy was I looking pathetic and didn't know it or what. But WOW did that make my day I cannot believe how paying for my $5 dollar lunch when they didn't need to by total strangers was all I needed to make me feel like I won the lottery and the world is not such a terrible place. Just had to share that random act of kindness that came when I never expected but definitely needed it. I hope yours is on it way LR!!! Maybe some liberal at work will tell you he is voting Republican next election because of you or something miraculous like that will happen!!

I'm guessing it made them feel good too. I try to do a good deed every day, if only letting someone ahead of me in the checkout line. Random acts of kindness make people feel good all around.

I was in a restaurant once, and someone at another table paid my check, but it was just because he recognized me from TV. Then my son popped up and said, "We should have ordered steak!"
