Did you watch Jay Leno yesterday to see Ann Coulter win the audience as she took on Leno's comments while far gone lefty George Carlin sat next to her as the audience applauded. I will leave it to LR to add a mighty fine photo of his Ann truly...

OK, let me address this "Ann truly" thing. I've seen remarks on other blogs that I adore Ann Coulter. I am not in love with Ann Coulter. Believe me when I say, people, that my own Tonto is much prettier than Ann. I don't think Ann is remarkably good-looking. If I ever saw Ann on the street or in the course of my business -- even if she weren't rich and famous -- I'd think, what's wrong with that skinny woman?". And, she was a smoker. I think she's quit, but that still puts me off. What I like about Ann Coulter is she is one of the few mainstream conservatives who is willing and able to match the hateful rhetoric of the liberals without sinking to their level. Despite what those thin-skinned hypocrites say, she is much more civil than they could ever be. She doesn't preach hate, she preaches fact.
UPDATE [from Tonto]: This sharing a post thing is fun. I went to Cao's Blog a great blog I read everyday now [after this one...of course] and she had the video she took from another blog...so go here and you can also view it on another site LR recommends Hot Air. ENJOY!!

I think the local NBC station repeats the previous night's Leno show. I'll set my TiVO. Gosh, I haven't really watched Leno since Carson retired. I gave him six weeks, and he just didn't do it for me. Maybe he's matured since then.
It's funny how the article describes Carlin as "acid-tongued. He's actually garbage-tongued. I've heard some of his stuff on XM and it's hateful and profane to the point of being unlistenable. This guy was Mr. Straight when he first hit the Tonight Show in the 60s. He wore a suit, was clean-shaven and had a more conservative haircut than Ronald Reagan. It wasn't until he hit it big that he dropped the facade.
Yep you pegged Carlin right. I was actually a fan when I was in middle school say 1984-1986...but he has changed in addition to his clothes to the point I don't even get him anymore on any level.
Oh and about the "Ann truly" thing...I know you may not be in love, but I like the fact that you like a smart woman...it is hard not to be attracted to a woman with a brain like that.
It's probably why he didn't say anything on Leno. He's said far, far more outrageous things than Ann Coulter ever has.
I sort of feel like I'm breaking into the team thingy going on here. A "team" post and a "team" comment section!

Ann Coulter does indeed look anorexic. I could lose 10 lbs and I will happily donate them to her if she wants them.
But Ann is indeed brilliant and talks circles around the left. It is because she knows her subject material, knows she is right, and that makes a big difference.

Welcome to the family, Gayle. I started this blog just to talk to myself, because I was fed up with trying to talk sense to liberals in chat rooms.
After awhile, I started to accumulate a small core of loyal readers. They're like burrs, I just can't shake them off.
Then Tonto came along and I adopted her as my sidekick. Despite being a lawyer and living in southern California, she gets it.
You won't find all the drama that you do on Mark\'s board, because I don't try to be as nice as he does. When the occasional liberal stumbles into my territory, I graze them with a silver bullet and send them on their way. Feel free to jump in anytime.
I tried to stay up for it,then convinced myself that I could just lie there and LISTEN for it to come on, with my eyes closed, but that never works.
You are really deeply in love with Ann, you know. I bet you a silver bullet you can't post a blog about her without a picture of her. ;D
The picture is like Fibber McGee's closet. It's always good for a laugh -- like when the Bush administration rounds up a few thousand illegal immigrants -- it's always good for a boost in the polls.
Good video, although for a moment there, I thought Carlin was going for an ankle holster.
