AAAARRRRRGGGHHHH!!!

So, I went down to the sub-basement tonight on my way to work and found that someone had slashed their way through the top of my convertible. Missing was my Garmin GPS receiver and my XM Radio. Oh, and they must have had a sense of humor, because they stole The Club off my steering wheel. I broke into a cold sweat at the audacity of it. Normally the door on the parking garage is closed, but a garbage truck ran over the card reader a few days ago, so it was open. Called the cops. Three hours to wait on them. Another hour to do their cop stuff. They got perfect palm prints off the trunk. I know they weren't mine because I make it a point not to get even a fingerprint on it. There were also boot prints on my trunk from the dust of construction that's been going on in the garage. Stealing an XM radio is really stupid, because I'm just going to call in the morning and have it deactivated. I called tonight, but I burped during the voice menu and got transferred off to some other section -- I think it was the talk radio section -- and couldn't find my way back before the 2 am closing time. Missed a night of work. No big deal there. But my next week or so will be filled with hassles. I hate hassles. Repairing the top will be the worst. I have to educate myself on convertible tops, costs and who does the work in this area. The other things I can order online. To tell the truth, I've been wanting to update my electronics anyway. They did NOT steal my CD of John Philip Sousa marches. So, I'm guessing it was illegal aliens.

WHY isn't this on the Drudge Report??

I was thinking about replacing the electronics anyway. I have an appointment with GEICO Wednesday. And newer technology will cost about what I paid for the old units. Like I said, it's just the hassle. Hope it doesn't rain for the next three days. That tape patch doesn't look waterproof.
