A Year Ago Today 5/03/05

A year ago today, I went food shopping at the Hippy Store. Oddly enough, I haven't been back there since. Now that I think about it, I have a hankering for a buffalo burger. I'll have to dig out my BDU (battle dress uniform) pants and swing by there. I'm sure things haven't changed. Aging hippies like to eat well and I still see Kerry/Edwards bumper stickers all over the place. Sore losers.

I went to your earlier post and it was hilarious! I think this is a good idea. I think I might try it on ocassion. Since I just passed the anniversary of my blog, It might be interesting to see how things have changed in a year.

I am betting they haven't changed much. You know, the more things change, the more they remain the same.

Yeah, I think I'm onto a winner here. Since neither side of the culture war ever changes, those old posts should still be as good as new.

We have a chain of hippy stores here called Wild Oats. Same thing - all organic and too expensive. Everybody wears sandals no matter what time of year it is and both women and (girly) men stink of patchouli.

The food, however, is better darn good if you're willing to fork over the extra scratch for it.

I guess when someone spends their youth eating out of dumpsters, they like to pamper themselves when they hit their 50s.
