A Year Ago Today 5/02/05

Since I've been writing this blog for about 16 months now, I have accumulated a lot of material. I kinda like to go back and read my own posts from time to time because, quite frankly, I find them to be pretty entertaining. So, in addition to my daily Republican history post, I'm going to do "A Year Ago Today" post to show people what I was thinking one year ago. Is that the most self-indulgent thing a blogger has ever done, or what? It won't be an everyday feature, because I haven't posted my thoughts every day. But I won't hold back. I'll repost my entries -- right or wrong -- (yeah, like when am I ever wrong?) and let the chips fall where they may. I pledge that the only editing I will do is to update expired links, if possible (and correct some punctuation and grammer -- it's the journalist in me). Where I have been less than brilliant, I'll even post commentary criticizing myself. Disclaimer: This is a public service for those who have as high an opinion of me as I do. For the rest of you, get your GED, get a haircut and get a job -- a hitch in the military wouldn't hurt. It seems that on May 2, 2005, I was talking about the runaway bride.
