Read My Lips: No New Amnesty
Ann Coulter hits the nail right on the head -- again, and again, and again -- in her remarks about the President's immigration speech Monday.
On the bright side, if President Bush's amnesty proposal for illegal immigrants ends up hurting Republicans and we lose Congress this November, maybe the Democrats will impeach him and we'll get Cheney as president.
The prospect of having Cheney as President for the last two years of Bush's last term does not scare me a bit in the world.
In fact, I believe it would be a good thing for America, the Republican Party, and the world.
Bush has always been far too Liberal for my tastes, but I voted for him anyway because the idea of a Gore or Kerry Presidency was far too repulsive for me to stomach, and the Lord does indeed answer Prayer.
An added benifit to a Cheney Presidency is that there is only one logical choice for V.P. in that situation, and that is Condi Rice, who would then be in an excellent position to run for President against HillBillary as sitting Vice President.
It almost makes me hope that Republicans lose the House and Senate in '06.
It would be a wake up call for Republicans still in those bodies, and the Voters who support a Conservative agenda, and it would position Condi to take the White House for the next Eight Years.
I'm going to go now, and campaign for a Democrat Senatorial or Congressional candidate in my state.

I didn't have to, I just did it.
You shouldn't have. Look how SKINNY her arm is--eeewwww!
She may be thin, but she's wirey. She could snap you like a twig.
(I've waited my whole life to say that.)
