The Media Lusts for Blood
The media are absolutely salivating at the thought that the hunt for top 10 fugitive and Mormon cult leader (yes, a cult within a cult) Warren Jeffs will turn into another Waco massacre.
It seems that Jeffs has a compound, just like David Koresh and his Branch Davidians had. And Jeffs also has armed fanatic supporters surrounding him, just like David Koresh did. So, according to the talking heads, the entire matter is a "powder keg," just waiting to explode. I've heard that rhetoric on at least three media outlets in recent days.
There's one thing wrong with that scenario. The President is not Bill Clinton and the Attorney General is not Janet Reno.
Adults are in charge now.

LR, perhaps the most compelling evidence of press bias involved handling of the Davidian massacre in a manner that did not force Reno from the cabinet the way Aspin was removed for (by Dem standards) lesser offenses.
George H.W. Bush (ex of CIA) even came to Clinton's defense. The public was left to deduce only that some awfully sinister secrets are being withheld. This is not in the spirit of our founding fathers.
