Kennedy Update
As I left work this morning, I told everyone to drive carefully, because there might be a Kennedy on the road. That got a big laugh.
"But it has become clear now that Patrick Kennedy had not been drinking."
He says he took sleep medication and a prescription anti-nausea drug that can cause drowsiness. Why anyone would take a sleep medication and then get into a car is beyond me. He should have gone to sleep. But I'm sure he has an explanation.
As for why he was on Capitol Hill at nearly three in the morning, that's easy to explain too. That's about a block from where I work and you can see Congressmen in their black leather jackets and fancy '57 Chevies cruising the strip (Independence Ave.) until the wee hours of the morning, trying to pick up chicks. Hillary is the worst one of all. With her hair slicked back, she looks like James Dean. Poor girls don't know what's happening until it's too late.
As for the alcohol a cop smelled on Kennedy's breath, that's also easy to explain. I knew when I first saw them in the store that Jim Beam breath strips were a bad idea.

Another option as to the alcohol smell could be that it was in his DNA passed from his daddy
