When I went into the military, I was unaware of the old tradition of the parents giving away the son's comic book collection. I think that tradition descended from the Aztec practice of ripping the heart out of a human sacrifice. Among my collection was the last edition of "Mad" before it switched from comic to magazine format.

I did. I got a commemorative issue of the first ever Uncle Scrooge comic. Haven't read it, yet. Just riffled the pages and sniffed deeply.
