That Didn't Take Long

Leftists the world over despise free speech. American liberals favor free speech only when it is they who are doing the speaking. Any, ANY dissent from their views is met with hatred and attacks. The hiring of a conservative blogger at the liberal Washington Post was sure to spark a firestorm. Mr. Domenech can consider himself lucky that we have no Gulags -- yet. From Human Events Online, we get this.

In his first public comments since resigning earlier today as a blogger for washingtonpost.com, Ben Domenech says his editors there were “fools” for not expecting an onslaught of attacks from the left. “While I appreciated the opportunity to go and join the Washington Post,” Domenech said, “if they didn’t expect the leftists were going to come after me with their sharpened knives, then they were fools.” Domenech has been under a steady stream of criticism since washingtonpost.com launched the new blog, “Red America,” on Tuesday. Domenech, an editor at Regnery Publishing (a sister company to HUMAN EVENTS), was accused of plagiarism by several left-wing blogs. Although Domenech says there is an explanation for nearly all the examples cited by the left-wing bloggers, he felt he was left no choice by washingtonpost.com but to resign. “I felt like if I didn’t resign, they would have pushed me out—if not today, then Monday,” he said.

These liberals are more than just annoying and laughable. If they ever gain power, God help us all. Meanwhile, I await the left's demand that plagarist Senator Joe Biden resign or be kicked out of the Senate. But I'm not holding my breath.

Lone Ranger said...: I'm sure she has plenty of guts. She gets racist, hateful, depraved, demonic e-mail from liberals every day. Some people are more passionate about plagiarism than others. I just wish she had shown the double standard. There are plenty of examples of plagiarism that liberals ignore. For instance, let's rescind Martin Luther King Jr's doctorate, since he plagiarized his thesis. Especially in the blogosphere, words flow like rushing rivers from place to place and sometimes credit isn't given where it's due. But reaching back that far into a person's life is deliberate character assassination. It's like when they investigated Clarence Thomas's video rental records. These people are despicable.; 9:08 PM

Lone Ranger said...: It's one thing to read a story about a brutal crime, but quite another to view crime scene photos. Sometimes seeing is believing. I never would have imagined people could be that hateful and depraved until I saw those e-mails. I'm not going to throw her overboard just because she does things I don't like. Laura Ingraham thinks low fat is the way to stay slim, Bill O'Reilly thinks SUVs should be banned, Rush smokes cigars. Hannity is against the Dubai deal. 25 Immutable Truths About Liberals

Over the years I've been writing this blog, I've been throwing out little self-evident truths that seem to have no exceptions that prove the rule. I've made a list of some of them and will add to it as I remember them or make up more. Most of this list I've come up with myself. A few I've borrowed from others.

1. Always expect the worst from a liberal and you will never be surprised.

2. Never try to reason with a liberal. They disregard any evidence that conflicts with their beliefs.

3. You can always tell what liberals are up to by what they accuse conservatives of doing.

4. Liberals don't debate, they argue.

5. The only standards liberals have are double standards.

6. Liberals feel, conservatives think.

7. Whenever you don't understand a liberal's motives, just look for the money.

8. Liberals cannot be embarrassed. They lack the gene to blush.

9. The Liberal Golden Rule is, "Do unto others but scream bloody murder if they do unto you."

10. Liberals don't have leaders, they have demi-gods.

11. There are no honest liberals. If they were honest -- especially to themselves -- they would be conservatives.

12. A liberal's business is nobody's business, but everyone's business is a liberal's business.

13. Liberals have an inflated sense of self-worth. They are like house flies that criticize the air-worthiness of a Stealth fighter. (Sarah Palin, George W. Bush, ad infinitum are morons.)
