I am going to throw caution to the wind and watch my first (and probably last) episode of "Dreadful Housewives" (or whatever it's called) tonight, just to see how out of touch I am with American culture. I don't have any firearms in the house, so chances are I will survive to blog again.

Well, good luck.
Don't eat a big dinner first...
I have watched about 1 1/2 episodes of "Desperate Housewives". You will probably survive, but if that is an example of American culture we are all in more trouble that I thought.
I lasted 11 minutes.
I tried to watch "The Book of Daniel" the other night,to see what all the hype waa about. I wasn't too offended because I am familiar with the culture that spawned it. It was just so ridiculous that I predict it won't last long. People want tv shows to be at least partly believable. This one isn't.
The Book of Daniel was just a crass rip-off of Joan of Arcadia. But that's how these Hollywood types view Christians -- alcoholics, drug dealers, cheaters, and above all, hypocrities. They can't live up to our standards, so they try to pull us down to theirs.
