Commander In Chief
I've always liked Geena Davis. From a leggy teen, she matured into a fine, still beautiful actress. And I like her series, Commander In Chief. It's fun picking out the liberal propaganda because it's so subtle. Subtle, that is to people who have never studied American history -- like liberals. Geena Davis plays an independent, who finds herself in the White House upon the death of a Republican president. Of course they had to cast her as an independent because they didn't want a series that portrayed a Republican woman as a hero. And they couldn't very well cast the part as a Democrat, because a Democratic president who used the military to great effect would make the program science fiction rather than a drama. Also, they'd probably have had a problem finding an actress unattractive enough to play a Democratic woman.
Donald Sutherland plays eeeeevil Republican Speaker of the House Nathan Templeton. He thinks he should have taken the office after the president died. A few weeks ago an old home movie was found of a young Nathan Templeton touting segregation to his southern political cronies in a smoke-filled back room. Here's where the subtle propaganda comes in. It was Democrats who favored segregation, not Republicans. Republicans fought against it and finally defeated it.
Finding the lies. That's what makes this program enjoyable. Makes me wonder if I've missed something by never watching the West Wing.........Naaaaaaa.

I've always liked Geena Davis, too. Did you know she's a member of MENSA? Very smart woman. So one wonders why she's a liberal.
I've not watched it at all. I heard Laura Ingraham ridicule some Thanksgiving episode they had though. I recall some comment the Prez makes about how she has the power to pardon the Thanksgiving Day turkey, but she is powerless to stay the execution of some mentally retarded person on death row. It sounded so messed up in the logic of it all. It's not like the turkey had murdered anyone, either. Ugh!
I concluded a long time ago that liberalism is a mental illness along the lines of an eating disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder or sexual deviancy. What else could explain such insane decisions by such intelligent people? I mean, Bill Clinton was not a stupid man, but he could not resist molesting women. And other intelligent people who should have reacted in digust and horror instead rallied around to protect him. Mental illness.
The problem I have with West Wing is that the thought of Martin Sheen as President makes my skin crawl.
