This would make you the 'Hostess with the Mostess'. If they make pork ones will they be Hostess 'Pinkies'

We are having turducken tonight and honey baked ham tomorrow... you always have an open invitation to our home.

Merry Christmas, Kimosabe.

I'm baking a rum cake before I go to bed to take to work tonight. Maybe if I can get my boss soused, he won't notice that I'm not working. I also bought a sub sandwich so long it barely fits into my trunk. Unless the moochers from the radio section come over, I'll probably have enough leftovers for Christmas.

Come up to Massachusetts. We're having prime rib...

Have I ever mentioned I'm a VERY good cook? I'll show you my prime rib recipe if you show me yours. By the way, a friend of mine is going to open her Christmas presents tonight and among them will be two of your creations.I'm sure she'll be thrilled.

I was waiting to see if my bother who lives near Philly was going to invite me up for Christmas dinner, but I never heard a peep from him.

So here, on Christmas eve, I set about the task of trying to find a good restaurant that might be open on Christmas so my son and I could have some semblance of a traditional Christmas dinner.

I couldn't find one so I wandered around Walmart grocery section wondering if I could thaw out a turkey in less than 24 hours.

Good news! I found some already thawed turkeys and the best news is they are only 50 cents a pound! So, I am going to cook Christmas dinner tomorrow. I still have some Poultry BBQ rub left over from Thanksgiving so I can use that. Merry Christmas to you, LR.

Re: prime rib

Well honey, you *might* very well be a chef-extraordinaire, but how would one ever know that from the way you flaunt your processed foods on this blog... :-)

Now for the "rest of the story" from our house ~ our oven died in the late morning on Saturday, the day of preparation. Fortunately for us, the sweet young couple who live in our apartment were going to be gone all weekend. Also fortunately, we had bought them a new stove last spring. Unfortunately for me, the wife is a vegetarian, so this morning I'm going upstairs to wipe all the spattered grease out of the oven so she doesn't have to deal with it. Not that she'd ever ask me to...it just seems like the right thing to do :-)

Hope your friend was pleased with the gifts!
