I'm at work watching "You've Got Mail," to be followed by "Sleepless in Seattle." That will be followed by "Kate and Leopold," which I have never seen. So, since New Year's is the slowest news night of the year, it's chick flick night for me. I'm such a girl.

Be glad I'm protecting the Republic's treasures tonight. Oh well at least my pick-up is in doors away from alckies
Watching them once would be ok, but watching them every time they come on is a bit disturbing.
I don't even like Meg Ryan. She smokes. But those two movies are a few of my favorites. Actually, "You've Got Mail" is a remake of 1949's musical "In the Good Old Summertime," with Judy Garland and Van Johnson, which was a remake of 1940's "The Shop Around the Corner," with James Stewart and Margaret Sullivan. They are much the same -- sometimes from scene to scene -- but each is different, and I can't choose between them. But whenever I want a good cry, I watch one of these movies, or pull out one of my old tax returns.
