The End to Sexual Harassment in China

Great news! China outlawed sexual harassment last week!

China has for the first time outlawed sexual harassment and domestic violence, establishing gender equality as a national policy. The amendment was passed by the top lawmaking body, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress. Women will now be able to take legal action against abusive husbands and those who harass them.

Of course, China is always outlawing something or other or giving their people more rights, but it's on paper only. It just gives officials more laws to ignore. How lucky we are that we live in the United States of America, where we have a well-defined legal process. Here, we have a Supreme Court that misinterprets laws before officials can ignore our rights.
