Urban Explorers

I didn't realize it until recently, but when I was a teen, I was an urban explorer. We didn't have a name for it back then. A few friends and I would travel around North Dakota, exploring abandoned houses, farms, etc. Yeah, technically that would make me a rural explorer, but googling that won't bring anywhere near as interesting sites. Here's one of the better ones. I can spend hours looking at the photos on these sites. I found out a few years ago that the little house on the prairie where I pretty much grew up was discovered abandoned by my grandparents. It had electricity, but that was it. They just moved in and didn't pay property taxes for the next 50 years. Note: I HATE vandals. What goes through their mind (if they have one) when they destroy such interesting historical buildings?
