Liberals on the Supreme Court, along with the mercurial Anthony Kennedy, have again rewritten the Constitution, ruling that cities have the right under eminent domain to seize private property and turn it over to other private interests that will bulldoze family homes to build shopping malls, condos, office complexes or whatever other project that raises greater tax revenue for the insatiable politicos. Here I thought liberals stood for the common man. Here I thought liberals were champions of the little guy. More liberal lies. Follow the money and you'll always discover the left's true agenda. This ruling will overwhelmingly affect the elderly, who have lived in the same house most of their life and have nowhere to go, and the poor and minorities who have worked hard to purchase old, or ramshackle, or small homes that don't generate enough property tax to support bloated city governments -- the very people liberals claim to defend. Nobody is going to seize homes of the wealthy to build malls. I thought you liberals hated the rich. All four conservative justices opposed the ruling. Where are you liberals? Where is the phony liberal outrage -- the breast beating, the wailing, the dire predictions of doom for our liberties and for the future of the human race? Saving it all for Karl Rove? You huff and you puff and all you manage to do is blow down the houses of the disadvantaged.
