Namast is back! After disappearing suddenly, she has returned to my short but high-quality blog roll. I feared that she was gone forever, but has recovered from the constant, wearing noise from the left.

Michelle Mystery Meat
UPDATE: Seems the federal government is listening. (They always do when they get caught.) They are offering schools the choice of whether they want pink slime in their hamburger. Also, McDonalds says it will no longer use it. If hamburger is labeled "USDA organic" it does not have this stuff in it.
Mmm, mmm, mmm. No, this is not the skinned carcass of a Burmese python. This is part of Michelle Obama's pledge to provide healthier choices in school cafeterias and military mess halls..
This product is fondly referred to as "pink slime." It consists of a mixture of leftover trimmings, sinew, and other beef parts culled from a cow, once the expensive and more recognizable cuts of meat have been harvested and sent to a butcher. The collection of leftovers is spun in a centrifuge to remove excess fat, washed in a disinfecting solution and then minced for use in various applications, including hamburger - 15 percent of hamburger, under USDA regulations. This is what is listed as "beef products" on pet food cans. Mmm, mmm, mmm, How is this healthy? Well, because it is treated with ammonia, to kill E. coli and salmonella. The USDA just bought seven million pounds of it. The federal school lunch program used an estimated 5.5 million pounds of the processed beef product last year alone.
People often characterize Michelle as having a "Let them eat cake" attitude. I wish.

Rick Santorum Dresses Like A Lesbian?
Who knew?
Those of you who watch Fox News have no doubt seen Sally Kohn. She is a radical leftist who actually loves working at FNC. I would bet one paycheck that the arrogant, smug expression on her face is there even in deep REM sleep. When she speaks, it is apparent that she has contempt for any position to the right of Stalin. Talking Point #8. Ignorance is the cornerstone of arrogance.
As for Santorum's sweater vests, she says, "“I love a sweater vest. And who’d have thunk it — lo and behold, Rick Santorum appears to be taking his fashion cues from lesbian style. So I mean, hey, at least he got something from us."
Yikes.
I would expect something that stupid from her. But, what I wouldn't expect is that she loves working at Fox News. She appreciates the freedom she has to say anything.
You might want to save that link for the next time you're up against a liberal who thinks FNC is biased and is NOT fair and balanced.

Fluke, Flack, Fake
Where do I even begin?
Sandra Fluke (rhymes with....never mind) is a third-year law student at Georgetown University. She appeared at a House hearing last week to bemoan Georgetown's lack of birth control coverage in its health plan.
Well, it wasn't a REAL hearing, since Congress was in recess and the Capitol building was mostly empty. But, Nancy Pelosi rounded up a few other democrats and a bunch of women supporters and put them in an empty room and held her own "unofficial" hearing. Let's call it a kangaroo hearing. Since Nancy lost her personal Air Force jet to ferry her back and forth to San Francisco, I guess she has a lot of time on her hands. Fluke wasn't under oath and nothing that was said was entered into any official record. It could just as well have been a high school play.
Fluke "testified" that Georgetown Law, a Jesuit institution, does not provide contraception coverage in its student health plan and that contraception can cost a woman more than $3,000 during law school. Say what? Fluke had told reporters that she researched the Jesuit college’s health plans for students before enrolling, and found that birth control was not included. “I decided I was absolutely not willing to compromise the quality of my education in exchange for my health care,”
Hmmm, if she is so concerned about having a university pay for her birth control, why did she enter a Jesuit school? Couldn't she have gone to Harvard Law or Yale Law or the Columbia School of Lawering? Another point is, where does a law student find the time to lobby for her pet cause? The people I've talked to who went to law school say they felt like indentured servants. They didn't have a spare minute for social activism, much less have so much sex. ( I have to admit, I'd be a bit more sympathetic to her cause if I thought she were interested in men.) And, if she can afford about $64,000 a year in tuition and expenses, why can't she afford to buy birth control pills at Target or WalMart for nine dollars a month?
We haven't seen the last of this woman. Mark my words, Sandra Fluke is a future Nancy Pelosi or Barbara Boxer or Diane Feinsten. She is the future of radical leftist women. Like death and taxes, they will always be with us.

That Toddlin' Town
I said when I first heard about Obama that all you needed to know about this guy was that he was a Chicago politician. It is my humble opinion that Chicago has never had an honest day in its entire 180-year history. Unlike the maddeningly fair and balanced Bill O'Reilly, I have never been willing to give Obama the benefit of the doubt.
And now I have been validated by a study by the University of Illinois at Chicago and the University of Illinois' Institute of Government and Public Affairs rating Chicago as the most corrupt city in the country and Illinois as the most corrupt state in the union.
The Central District of California, where Los Angeles is located came in second and the Southern District of New York -- home of New York City-- was third.
I believe it is no coincidence that all three cities are under democrat control in states that have virtually one-party rule.
Immutable Truth About Liberals #1. Always expect the worst from a liberal and you will never be surprised.

I'M ALIVE! I'M ALIVE!
Got out of the hospital on Saturday after four days in ICU and two days in CCU. I was a victim of the drug shortage. The drug that keeps my heart running normally was not to be found anywhere, so my heart went into defib again. That means my heart was too weak to pump the water out of my tissues and my lungs started filling up. In the hospital, they removed 10 POUNDS of water from my body through medication. When I left, the pharmacy had only eight of the aforementioned pills. If they don't get a supply in by Wednesday, I'll be back in the same situation. But, I won't wait so long next time to go for help. More later as I gain the strength to sit at my computer.
Thanks for the prayers.

A Good Quote
"Animals don't follow unstable pack leaders. Only humans follow unstable pack leaders." -- "Dog Whisperer" Cesar Millan
A Joke
A woman goes into a sporting goods store to buy a rod and reel for her grandson's
birthday. She doesn't know which one to get, so she just grabs one and
goes over to the counter.
The clerk was standing behind the counter wearing dark shades. She says to him, "Excuse me, sir. Can you tell me anything about this rod and reel?"
He says, "Ma'am, I'm completely blind; but if you'll drop it on the counter, I can tell you everything from the sound it makes."
She doesn't believe him but drops it on the counter anyway.
He says, "That's a six-foot Shakespeare graphite rod with a Zebco 404 reel and 10-LB. Test line. It's a good all-around combination, and it's on sale this week for only $20.00."
She says, "It's amazing that you can tell all that just by the sound of it dropping on the counter. I'll take it!" As she opens her purse, her credit card drops on the floor.
"Oh, that sounds like a Master Card," he says.
She bends down to pick it up and accidentally flatulates. At first she is really embarrassed, but then realizes... there is no way the blind clerk could tell it was she who tooted. Being blind, he wouldn't know that she was the only person around?
The man rings up the sale and says, "That'll be $34.50 please."
The woman is totally confused by this and asks, "Didn't you tell me the rod and reel were on sale for $20.00? How did you get $34.50?"
He replies, "Yes, ma'am. The rod and reel is $20.00, but the Duck Call is $11.00, and the Catfish Bait is $3.50."
She paid it and left without saying a word.

Negotiate health care reform in public sessions televised on C-SPAN
To achieve health care
reform, "I'm going to have all the negotiations around a big table.
We'll have doctors and nurses and hospital administrators. Insurance
companies, drug companies -- they'll get a seat at the table, they just
won't be able to buy every chair. But what we will do is, we'll have the
negotiations televised on C-SPAN, so that people can see who is making
arguments on behalf of their constituents, and who are making arguments
on behalf of the drug companies or the insurance companies. And so, that
approach, I think is what is going to allow people to stay involved in
this process."
